Most of us, swimming against the tides of trouble the world knows
nothing about,
need only a bit of praise or encouragement - and we will
make the goal.

The following programmers supplied the CGI Perl scripts and C routines that
I use. They did so out of the goodness of their hearts, so thanking them for
their valuable contributions to my web space is the very least I can do to show
my appreciation.
Randal is a Perl programmer extraordinaire. He seems to spend more time
teaching and travelling these days than cutting code, but he hacked
together the Perl script I use to build a server side include log of
visits to my site. I snarfed it when he posted it to
teleport.support.cgi. Thanks 10e6, Randal!
Matt provides a vast array of useful Perl scripts. I'm using his
guestbook, page counter and text clock. They were easy to install and
modify, and I'm very grateful to Matt for his fine efforts.
Mark, who is a software developer at MACROSTAFF in Bellevue, WA,
provided the
AnyURL
C program which I use to provide a forms based menu of URL's from which
to select. The software was developed under contract for the TOGA-TAO
project, managed by
Nancy N. Soreide,
at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's Pacific Marine
Environmental Laboratory in Seattle, WA. I am much in their debt for
freeing up real estate on my web pages.
The graphics used on my pages are not mine. Most of them are in the public
domain and freely available from a variety of sources on the internet. I do,
however, wish to thank the following people for their imagination, talent
and generosity:
1467 N. Wanda Rd. #135
Villa Park, CA 92867
714-633-3130 Studio
714-633-6019 Fax

Michael Erdkamp photographed our wedding and I've used some of the photos
here. He did a superb job - we are greatly in his debt. If you need a
professional portrait photographer,
he's your man!

Randy was kind enough to take the time to give me some valuable feedback
on my web page. He also designed the flower bar (flow01.gif) used on
Liz's page and the Oregon State Flag gif used on the Portland page.
Lastly, his site is where I snarfed the animated fish swimming on my
index page. Thanks, Randy!
This innovative site is the source for the home icon pictured at the
bottom of every page. It is also the source of the football on Liz's
page, the WWW Earth on the links page, and the bullet hole on the People
page. Thanks for helping to customize my web space!

The arrows I use at the bottom of each page as well as the end of text
scroll at the bottom of my index.html come from Anthony's fine
collection.
The Northeast Fisheries Science Center Headquarters in Woods Hole,
Massachusetts is the source of the
herring.gif
I use on my home page and as a background throughout the site. Thanks!
WebArt - Graphics & Icons For Your Web Page
The beautiful red rose on the Portland page was designed by Margött at
WebArt. Thanks, Margött! (wherever you are, because it isn't
http://home.earthlink.net/~margott/webart.html anymore)
The strings.gif used on the Music page and the trees on the Portland page
are from Leo Doerr's collection. Good
work!
The chrome 3D PEOPLE nameplate is courtesy of
Jim Evins. Check out his page for other
cool nameplates as well as some nifty ray tracings.

The sag_blue.gif used as background on the neurology sites page was found at
this site. Thanks, mate! Pity that http://saturn.nmr.ion.bpmf.ac.uk/ is
no longer reachable :-(
The brain.gif at the top of the Neurology sites page is from
Microsoft® Encarta®
94 Encyclopedia. Bravo, Bill!

The iconized photographs are from the excellent collection in this archive.
Thanks, Daniel!
